Meet the Founder & CEO

Dr. Maxie-Moreman is a licensed clinical psychologist and expert in child and adolescent development, the psychological impact of online harm among youth, as well as pediatric chronic illness identity. Her research is primarily focused on the psychological impact of intersectional online harm among marginalized youth,

as well as protective factors.

She earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami and completed her residency in pediatric psychology at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Maxie-Moreman also completed a two-year fellowship in pediatric psychology at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C and continues her work there as a psychologist in a medical speciality clinic. She holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and of Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Maxie-Moreman has a decade of clinical experience with children, adolescents, and young adults and has a

well-established commitment to the healthy development of youth and particularly within digital ecosystems.
